LUCKY PHIL’S NEW CD “LUCKY 13 AMERICANA AUTRALIANA”
The album “Lucky 13”, has 2 covers; “Horse with No Name” and “Home among the Gum Trees”. The other 11 songs fall somewhere between these two.
It’s always a problem, being genre specific, when talking about music styles. When Phil grew up with the blues, country music, Tex Mex, Blue Grass and Rock & Roll, let’s just call it Americana!
This album features some of Cairns finest musicians; Wayne McIntosh (guitars), Peter Ella (Mandolin, fiddle and Banjo), Giles Smith (Double and fretless bass), Ben Hakalitz (Drums) and Lucky (Vocals, guitar and harmonica).
“My thanks goes out to the Public Radio Networks, without the enthusiasm of these broadcasters, original and independent music would be dead. I’ll keep producing if someone is listening, and my music is being played “says Phil.
Phil is a musical war horse. He likes doing live shows, and you can see him around town at any venue that plays live music.
